🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Winchester Has Issued a Heat Advisory 🚨

Apparently Winchester forgot that it's approximately 4,000 degrees outside.

Despite the weather, he decided tonight was the perfect evening to launch Operation Fence Hop.

With one graceful leap, Winchester cleared the fence like an Olympic athlete.

Immediately behind him...

Dean and Roscoe erupted into a full-scale barking protest.

"If he's escaping, we're escaping!"

After successfully negotiating with the two inmates and returning them to maximum security, I jumped in the truck to begin the search.

As I slowly cruised around the block, I could hear Winchester barking somewhere off in the distance.

"He's on the fox!" I thought.

"Maybe a deer!"

I looked in the mirror...

There was Winchester.

Not chasing wildlife.

Not tracking a scent.

He was running behind my truck, barking at me like...

"HEY! YOU LEFT WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING!"

At that moment, I realized this wasn't an escape.

This was a rescue mission...

for Winchester.

He had officially outrun his own common sense.

By the time we got home, he had that look every hound owner knows:

"Dad... let's just agree this never happened."
