Mom and Dad are off at the UVA game enjoying a perfectly normal afternoon of football.
Meanwhile...
Back at headquarters, Winchester, Dean, and Roscoe have been left behind to manage domestic operations.
This was probably a mistake.
Winchester has assumed command of perimeter security and is currently posted near the back door, monitoring all deer and fox movement within a three-mile radius.
Dean has been reminded several times that today is a rest day and not an opportunity to launch an unsanctioned reconnaissance mission.
He disagrees.
Roscoe has taken up his usual position at the window and is conducting squirrel surveillance with the intensity of a man who knows something the rest of us don't.
I can only imagine the conversation at home right now:
Winchester: "Parents are gone. Stay professional."
Dean: "So what you're saying is... nobody's watching the fence?"
Roscoe: "Quiet. Squirrel at 2 o'clock."
For once, the most dangerous action today is supposed to be happening on the football field.
Hopefully the boys understand that.
Current status:
π Mom & Dad β UVA game π Winchester β Acting suspiciously responsible π Dean β Definitely thinking about something π Roscoe β Neighborhood intelligence operations π§ Fence β On high alert
If anyone hears barking from the direction of our house...
Please assume the hounds have either detected wildlife...
or realized their supervision has temporarily weakened.
Go Hoos.
And God help the sitter. ππΎ
