š§ PERIMETER FORTIFICATION UPDATE: OPERATION LOCKDOWN š§
Following the recent multi-hound escape incident, I initiated a full-scale perimeter fortification effort.
Weak points were identified.
Structural deficiencies were addressed.
Lessons were⦠theoretically learned.
Armed with tools, determination, and what I can only describe as questionable confidence, I began reinforcing the fence line like a man who had just been humbled by three senior citizens with fur.
Throughout the entire operation, I was not alone.
Deanārecently apprehended and now out on bailāpositioned himself just feet away and observed the entire process.
No barking.
No distractions.
No assistance.
Just⦠watching.
Not casual watching either this was calculated.
Eyes locked.
Occasional slow walk-by like a contractor inspecting a job site.
At one point, he paused⦠stared directly at a section I had just reinforced⦠and gave me a look that clearly said:
"Yeah⦠that's not gonna hold."
I continued working under pressure.
Every staple I drove inā¦
every board I securedā¦
felt less like construction and more like I was participating in my own future failure.
The other two suspects were nearby as well maintaining distance, occasionally circling, clearly involved in what I can only assume is a joint operational review.
When the work was finally complete, I stepped back to admire what I believed to be a fully secured perimeter.
Dean approached.
Slowly.
Deliberately.
He walked the fence line⦠paused at multiple points⦠sniffed⦠looked back at me⦠and then continued his inspection like a seasoned professional conducting a final walkthrough.
No approval was given.
No feedback was offered.
He simply returned to the yard, laid down, and stared off into the distance like a man already planning his next move.
At this time, the perimeter is holding.
Morale is stable.
Confidence is⦠cautious.
Security posture has been elevated to:
"We'll see what happens."
I would like to thank the neighborhood for their continued support, discretion, and for not reporting the shirtless man sprinting through the streets earlier like an escaped inmate.
