Operation Neighborhood Freedom Run

🚨 FINAL AFTER ACTION REPORT 🚨

Operation: Neighborhood Freedom Run has officially concluded.

All members of the unit have been recovered and returned to base.

Winchester was the first to return, arriving home like a seasoned professional who had completed his objectives and saw no reason to file a report.

Roscoe arrived next.

Tired.

Defeated.

Covered in evidence of poor decision-making.

He walked through the gate with the look of a man who had discovered that freedom is exhausting and that maybe the couch wasn't such a bad deal after all.

Dean, however, remained committed to the mission.

After extending his patrol well beyond authorized limits, he was ultimately apprehended by a great citizen who chose not to turn him over to the local authorities.

Dean was safely returned to base where he immediately exercised his right to remain silent and showed absolutely no remorse for his actions.

Mission Results:

✅ Deer chased

✅ Neighborhood inspected

✅ Citizens entertained

✅ Parents stressed

✅ Lessons learned: 0

There were also a few critics and haters along the way.

To them I say this:

These old hounds spent years doing exactly what they were bred and trained to do.

Sometimes the nose wins the argument.

The neighborhood got a few stories.

The dogs got an adventure.

And I got another gray hair.

All in all, I'd call that a successful operation.

The perimeter has been reinforced.

Security measures have been upgraded.

Dean has already inspected the improvements and appears confident they can be defeated.
