Every pack has...

The leader.

The thinker.

And then...

There's Dean.

Dean doesn't escape because he hates home.

Dean escapes because somewhere deep in his little hound brain he believes...

"Today's the day I finally catch that deer."

The operation always starts the same.

The back door opens.

The wind shifts.

One whiff of deer...

And suddenly Dean hears an imaginary 80s movie soundtrack.

"Cue 'Danger Zone'..."

He launches into action with absolutely no concern for details like...

Where he's going.

How far he's running.

Or...

How he's getting home.

Unlike Winchester, who knows exactly what he's doing...

Dean operates entirely on confidence.

He'll chase a scent through three neighborhoods, two creeks, a cornfield, and what appears to be someone's family barbecue before finally stopping and thinking...

"Well... this doesn't look familiar."

Twenty-four hours later...

Dean can usually be found somewhere in BFE, sitting beside a mailbox or on a stranger's porch looking like he's just completed a cross-country expedition.

When a kind citizen asks, "Where do you live, buddy?"

Dean's internal monologue is usually...

"Excellent question."

He'll gladly jump into a stranger's truck.

Accept snacks from absolutely anyone.

Smile for the ride home.

And somehow convince everyone that he's the victim in this story.

Survival Skill: Looking so innocent that complete strangers become his chauffeur.

By the time Dean gets home...

He's exhausted.

Covered in burrs.

Smelling like every county within a 20-mile radius.

And somehow...

Already thinking about his next adventure.

Because in Dean's world...

Home isn't where the heart is.

It's just the place everyone keeps bringing him back to.
