π¨ THE HOUND CHRONICLES
Episode 12: ROSCOE'S GREAT ESCAPE
So this evening after taking my ladies to Morgan Wallen and the boys having an overnight sleepover at the sitter's, everything was cool and calm.
Until about 8:30 PM.
I was doing my rounds in the yard while the boys did their business when I heard it.
The Winchester Alarm.
Which, naturally, activated the backup crew. π
Now Dean had already decided he was done with whatever nonsense was happening and eventually reached the stage where the big tank had to be carried upstairs.
But Roscoe?
Roscoe was in ACTIVATED MODE.
Then I watched this short-legged fool go full Army infantry and LOW CRAWL under the fence.
Not jump.
Not squeeze.
LOW CRAWL.
Years in the Army and apparently I have somehow passed tactical movement techniques down to a beagle.
πππ
Off Roscoe goes.
Now luckily Roscoe's greatest weakness remains the same:
Roscoe has the heart of an outlaw and the legs of a coffee table.
So the operation did not last long.
But here is the best part.
After completing his unauthorized neighborhood patrol, Roscoe came backβ¦
TO THE SAME HOLE.
He stood there on the outside looking in like:
βDadβ¦
you mind opening the gate?
This tunnel appears to be closed.β
π
Sir.
YOU CREATED THIS PROBLEM.
FINAL STATUS:
π© Winchester β alarm system operational πΎ Dean β upstairs / mission complete πΏοΈ Roscoe β escaped, reconsidered life choices, requested re-entry
Another successful evening at Bad Hounds Headquarters.
CASE DISPOSITION
Roscoe returned to the breach location and requested assistance re-entering the property.
